Every Summer Stanford Sierra Conference Center hosts a Stanford Alumni Family Camp.

Stanford Alumni Family Camp

For 13 weeks during the summer Stanford alumni bring their families to Stanford Sierra Camp for a week of outdoor adventure, education, family fun and Stanford camaraderie.

Sierra Camp’s younger guests are grouped by age and led from one fun, educational adventure to the next by our exceptional Stanford undergrads.

Sierra Camp’s adult guests experience once-in-a-lifetime adventures every day alongside fellow Stanford alumni campers. Wear yourself out from dawn to dusk sculling, paddling or water-skiing on Fallen Leaf Lake or hiking the numerous trails into Desolation Wilderness, join a tennis workshop or how about a game of basketball or volleyball? You can also rock climb or join a yoga class. When your muscles are worn out, take an arts & crafts workshop, join a staff-led book discussion, cultural dance class, geology or photo workshop.

When the sun goes down, the family fun and education continue. What would camp be without s’mores and a sing-a-long at a lakefront campfire? Experience a Stanford Sierra original, disco bingo, and the end of the week slide show. Each week two Stanford faculty speakers give a lecture and lead a discussion on topics like art, music, economics, politics, and history.
