Matty moved to Tahoe for the snowy winters, but as often happens, he stayed for the summers. Matty loves to ride his mountain bike and listen to country music, and he is always the sharpest dressed man at Fallen Leaf Lake!
Tara joined the Stanford Sierra team in spring 2013 and quickly became a favorite with her sweet, friendly personality and the tasty and healthy menus she puts together! Tara is particularly interested in creating delicious meals for guests with dietary restrictions including vegan and gluten-free.
Morgan has been with the Stanford Sierra organization since 2003. He is the primary contact for all Conference Season inquiries as well as the resident hiking aficionado.
Carrie grew up in Southern California and has made Tahoe her home since 1995. She spends most of her days at SSCC working on the massive jigsaw puzzle that is the Summer Family Camp Program. She enjoys riding horses in Desolation Wilderness, volunteering at the Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care Center, gardening in her yard, eating dark chocolate and drinking strong coffee.
Bruce is new to Stanford Sierra, but was born and raised in Tahoe and spent many recent years building homes on Fallen Leaf Lake. When not at work, you will find Bruce paddling with the outrigger canoe team on Lake Tahoe or skiing the backcountry in the winter.
Tegan oversees all of the Human Resource & Accounting functions for Stanford Sierra Camp. Tegan’s main focus is taking care of our team members. She stands by her belief in an open door policy by creating open lines of communication. During her free time, Tegan enjoys wake boarding, snowboarding, volleyball, running, softball, climbing and just about anything outdoors. When she’s not playing outside, Tegan loves to cook and host dinner parties at her house.
Leanna is responsible for year-round operational management, as well as organizing the summer program and hiring the summer staff. Beyond Camp life, Leanna likes to combine exploration of the beautiful Tahoe area with quality family and friends' time and pursuing her passions within health care.
Jeff moved to Tahoe in the Fall of 2012 from Chadd’s Ford, Pennsylvania. He came for the snow and stayed for the summer; a classic Tahoe story. As Camp’s Front Office/Accounting Manager, you will find Jeff either crunching numbers or chatting up a storm, trying out a multitude of accents. Look for Jeff’s beaming personality at our Front Office.
Kristin works alongside Carrie to ensure your reservations are up-to-date and ready to go prior to your summer arrival. She is excited to meet all our guests and will be at Camp to help answer any questions you may have. Kristin first came to us from Strasburg, Colorado as an all-purpose staffer in the spring of 2018 and fell in love with camp. When she is not in the office, Kristin can be found out in Desolation Wilderness, hiking, camping, and frolicking in the meadows. She enjoys a well-made chai tea, dressing up in rally closet costumes, and eating bagels.
Derek came to us from the beautiful Roanoke, Virginia, bringing his creativity and aptitude for program development to the Fountain and beyond. He either designs or hand selects our unique assortment of items for the Fountain and assembles our wine list from Stanford affiliated vineyards. In addition to making loads of milkshakes, Derek enjoys long cups of coffee, reading by the boat dock, and running around outside when the sun is shining.
Jan is responsible for making sure that your stay is as cozy and clean as possible. In her off time, Jan has taken to overseas travel and especially enjoys working with animals.
